FAQs

With the help of some of my lovely brides I’ve compiled a list of FAQ’s regarding wedding photography.  Hope it helps!

Where are you based and where do you cover?

I’m based in Armagh.  I  shoot Weddings throughout Northern and Southern Ireland.

What deposit to do you require and when is the balance due?

A £300 deposit is required to hold your wedding date and the balance is due 30 days prior to the wedding which I will notify you of.

Do you visit both the bride and groom on the morning of the wedding?

All of my packages include bridal prep (bride getting ready).  If you want photographs of groom prep there is an option to add on a second photographer to cover this.  Unfortunately I can’t do both unless these locations are less than 10 minutes drive from each other or both the bride and groom are getting ready at the same venue.

How long will you stay at our wedding?

There is an option for me to stay to dinner call ( just before your meal) or to dancing, whatever you prefer, please request a wedding brochure.

Should I have a list of the people I want photographs with?

No, there is no need.  I will forward you a ‘wedding day checklist’ for you to complete approx 4 weeks prior to your wedding day and this will include all of these details I need to ensure your day runs smoothly.

What are your prices?

Wedding packages start from £1500 with the option of full day coverage from bridal prep right through to dinner or dancing.

Images are delivered in a downloadable gallery and are high resolution images ready to print.  I also offer album packages.

Newborn, children and family sessions start from £180 and include all high resolution images supplied in downloadable gallery ready to print and share.

Do you charge extra for travel?

Generally no, however if it involves a very long travel distance I will always do my best to keep these expenses to a minimum.

How many images will I receive?

I will give you all the high resolution images from your wedding, individually edited.  There is no set quantity of images, but for most couples it ends up at 600+.

How long after the wedding can we expect to receive our photographs?

I aim to have your gallery ready 6 weeks after to your wedding day, during quiet months (Nov-March) you may get them sooner .  If I feel it is going to take longer during extremely busy spells I will notify you beforehand to give you an idea of when to expect it.

What do we do if its raining?

Believe it or not, this doesn’t bother me.  I have not photographed a wedding yet where there hasn’t been an opportunity to go outside at some stage of the day for photographs and its nothing an umbrella can’t sort if you embrace it.  If you do not want to go outside, the weather forecast will notify us of this in the week leading upto your wedding and we can make plans for indoor shots.

Can we meet you?

Yes, of course! A meeting can be arranged to chat and view the sample albums or alternatively we can discuss your plans over the phone or zoom.

How do I make a Booking?

Simply fill in the contact form or alternatively email info@vickeydonaldson.com and I will forward you everything you need.  Your wedding date will be held upon completion of the booking form, contract and receipt of deposit.
